Toll tag and valid AutoPASS agreement required for driving in Norway
All heavy vehicles above 3,5 tonnes used for commercial activities must have a toll tag and a valid AutoPASS agreement when driving in to Norway.
The toll tag is used when passing free flow toll stations throughout Norway and when entering ferries. You will later recieve an invoice from Fremtind Service.
The AutoPASS agreement and toll tag is connected to a single vehicle, identified by the vehicles registration number.
Vehicles with a toll tag and valid AutoPASS agreement receive benefits such as paying for a maximum number of passings per hour or month depending on the local regulations.
There are no subscription fees or additional cost connected to the AutoPASS agreement and toll tag, except an extra charge if invoice by paper is selected. A small deposit for the toll tag will be collected on the first invoice.
Fremtind Service is the main partner of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration for the mandatory toll tags and AutoPASS agreements.
The lack of a toll tag and valid AutoPASS agreement may lead to large fines.
Fremtind Service provides a tool for calculating the cost of road tolls and ferries in Norway.
